Making a “Make a Difference” Pledge Film with NHS Ayrshire and Arran, and the University of the West of Scotland Ayr Campus.

Hi
Over the last weeks and indeed months, we have had the great privilege to work with NHS Ayrshire and Arran, working together with a series of  ‘Make a Difference' talks. We have given 5 talks at Crosshouse Hospital Kilmarnock, and five at Ayr Hospital, along with speaking at Ayr Council and we still have two planned talks at the University West of Scotland Ayr Campus still to come next month.

It has been a great privilege to work with all the team Derek, Janice, Fiona, Amanda and Lynn. It has been so wonderful to meet so many passionate and caring staff at the talks, and to receive so many pledges.

Irene and myself met with Derek last week to chat about the tour ,the pledges and future plans. I am so happy to say we have agreed to make a short film together to capture the story of the tour and pledges! In fact, we filmed my last talk at Crosshouse Hospital yesterday and have plans to capture the stories behind the pledges along with thoughts from many of the team at NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

I am really excited to be part of this partnership between NHS Ayrshire and Arran, Alliance Scotland, Dementia Carer Voices and University West of Scotland Ayr campus.

There is much more to do and capture over the next weeks, and we are all very much looking forward to doing our best to represent the pledges and passion we have received and witnessed across NHS Ayrshire and Arran over the last months.

A great light bulb moment from Irene and Derek; I hope the film shines just as brightly.

I will post more details as we go along.
