Live interview on Radio Scotland!

Hiya,

Did my first live radio interview on Radio Scotland at around 7.40am this morning. Bit nervewracking, but it seemed to go well. Got the chance to mention my walk and why I want to collect as many letters as possible. Hope it inspired lots of new people to write to me. I'll add the iPlayer link once the BBC site uploads it.

EDIT: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b010gmhk - around 1 hr 43 mins in.

Cheers,

Tommy

I'll never walk alone...

Hiya,

I've been overwhelmed by the number of people who have told me that, as well as supporting my walk, they also want to join me for part of it. The latest person to pull on their walking shoes is my local councillor Ruth Black, who is going to join me for the first mile from Bellahouston Sports Centre to the Alzheimer Scotland conference at the Royal Concert Hall.

I've also been featured on the Greater Pollock Carers Centre facebook page; thanks!!

This support means so much to me: everyone's been so kind. It makes it all the sore feet and blisters worthwhile!

More coverage of my walk.

Hiya,

I had an article in last week's Glasgow Evening Times, you can read it here: Tommy’s on mission to help mum. Plus, if you live on the south side of Glasgow, look our for me in the April edition of the free SGN paper.

I should be so lucky!

Hiya,

Went over to see some old friends working on the Kylie tour at the SECC Glasgow. I'd like to thank Terry, her manager, and Lynn for sorting out passes, tickets and a Kylie goody bag for me to use further down the line as a wee prize.

Thanks as well to John Kewley, for sorting out some merchandise for my guests. Brought back some great memories of my days on the road.
